According to Forbes’ recent rankings, from Larry Ellison to MacKenzie Scott to Michael Dell, the richest people in tech are:
The minimum net worth an individual must earn to be on the Forbes 400 list in 2022 has dropped by $200 million to $2.7 billion. The drop was the first since the Great Recession, according to Forbes. In fact, the richest people aren’t as wealthy as they were a year ago.
The drop has seen 42 people between the ages of 29 and 90 join or rejoin the ranks of the richest. According to Forbes, their fortunes were calculated using stock prices from September 2, 2022.
Many of the lists range from oil and gas tycoons to sports moguls to real estate investors, but many of the top 20 belong to the tech industry.
From tech mogul Michael Dell to Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos to Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, here are the 20 richest people in tech, according to Forbes.
