With Halloween and Thanksgiving still to come, the U.S. Mint is already planning for Christmas by releasing two different ornaments today: the 2022 U.S. Mint Holiday Ornament and the 2022 Mighty Minter™ Ornament.
In the center of each is an uncirculated U.S. Mint 2022 American Innovation® $1 Coin for Vermont, depicting a young snowboarder.
Both will be available starting at noon ET today. Prices are $29.95 for adult ornaments and $27.95 for Mighty Minter’s ornaments for children.
2022 United States Mint Holiday Ornament
The latest United States Mint ornaments are shaped like large snowflakes made of simulated rhodium-plated brass, with some elements exhibiting a silver sheen. White, blue and purple colors add to the snowflake detail.
At the center is the Vermont Innovation Dollar, designed by Artistic Infusion Program Designer Justin Kuntz and sculpted by medallion artist Craig Campbell. An uncirculated $1 coin issued by the Philadelphia Mint depicts a young snowboarder in the air with a mountainous winter skyline in the background. “UNITED STATES MINT” is displayed above the coin and “2022” is displayed below.
The back of the ornament has the US Treasury Seal on top and the US Mint on the bottom. Each comes with a certificate and a purple presentation case.
2022 Mighty Minters Ornament
For the younger generation, Mint’s 2022 Mighty Minters Ornament may be the perfect option with the “Sing Songs of Joy” theme. His three characters from US Mint’s Mighty Minters are shown. Lina from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kendra in Washington DC. The two children are holding a songbook, behind them are snow-covered evergreens and decorated lampposts.
The ornament’s Vermont Innovation Dollar has “UNITED STATES MINT” and “2022” printed underneath. Each is manufactured from solid brass and finished with a simulated rhodium silvery sheen.
The back contains the Ministry of Finance seal. Ships in a red presentation case.

The 2022 U.S. Mint Holiday Ornament has a maximum production count of 8,000 and the Mighty Minters version is limited to 6,250.
