The Forbes list of Indian billionaires is out! Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who have a combined fortune of $167.5 billion, took the top two spots and were ranked top of India’s Richie Rich.
Ambani was ranked 10th on the Forbes Global List this year, followed closely by businessman Adani. Ambani’s net worth was estimated at a whopping $90.7 billion.
Here are the top 10 richest Indians on Forbes India’s Billionaires List 2022.
1. Mukesh Ambani
Chairman, Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani kept his position Wealthiest in Asia and 10th richest in the world. His net worth is $90.7 billion.
2. Gautam Adani and family
Asia’s second richest and founder of India’s top multinational conglomerate, Adani’s net worth is $90 billionHe is currently the 11th richest person in the world.
3. Shiv Nadar
Nadar is the founder of HCL Technologies, ranked 47th in the world. His net worth is $28.7 billion.
4. Silas Poonawala
Poonawara is the founder of the Serum Institute of India, which produced India’s Covid-19 vaccine Covishield. This has doubled his wealth by 22%. Punawela’s fortune is estimated at his $24.3 billion. He is currently ranked 56th in the world.
5. Radakishan Damani
Damani is the man behind Avenue Supermarkets, which operates D-marts across India. His net worth is $20 billion. He is ranked 81st in the world.
6. Lakshmi Mittal
Lakshmi is currently Chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel and mining production company. He occupies 89th place in the world.
7. Savitri Jindal and family
The only female on this list, Savitri is the brains behind OP Jindal Group, a steel and power conglomerate. With her net worth of $17.9 billion she is ranked 91st in the world and on the list of billionaires she is one of 13 Indian women.
8. Kumar Birla
Birla is Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, a multinational conglomerate. Kumar ranks him 109th in the world and his net worth is his $16.5 billion.
9. Dilip Shanvi
Shanghvi, the man behind Sun Pharmaceuticals, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, is ranked 115th in the world. His net worth is $15.6 billion.
10. Uday Kotak
Uday Kotak, Chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank, ranks 129th in the world with a net worth of $14.3 billion.
