Campbell University is one of three schools in the nation to receive the 2022 SANsational Award for State-sanctioned Networks, which recognizes schools whose efforts to develop “high-quality, comprehensive solutions” to difficult state problems. It’s one.

Campbell is a member of the National Board of State-Recognised Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), which facilitates the provision of distance learning (including online and clinical rotations/internships) for schools outside of North Carolina. According to Dr. Bill Hall, Director of Institutional Research and State Accreditation, part of Campbell’s annual update with NC-SARA includes the school’s inclusion with the Regional Accreditation Commission (C-RAC) for distance education evaluation. This includes ensuring that cross-regional guidelines are followed. .
Hall said Campbell has developed a “more robust compliance evidence folder” to demonstrate compliance. A “crosswalk document” has been developed to show where all the criteria are touched upon.
“The Evidence Folder was a collaboration between Dr. Ellen Dobson, Director of College Evaluation, and myself,” says Hall, who works with Dobson on the Office of Institutional Effects under the direction of Associate Provost Maren Hess. “Debate on how to address the need for compliance has revealed a significant overlap between the materials of the university’s recent SACSCOC accreditation decennial revalidation and the C-RAC guidelines.
