Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Sarasya has revealed that thousands of women have asked him to marry him.

The politician in a video with Kakamega Women’s Representative Elsie Muhanda jumped for joy after more than 30,000 women were said to have submitted proposals.

In the viral video, the politician is seen with Manda wearing sports gear and jogging on a tartan track while being informed of progress by a “wife-hunting” commission.

Muhanda claimed that Sarasya formed the commission to help scrutinize women who had expressed an interest in saying “I do” to lawmakers for the first time.

“All applications must go through her, and the committee works tirelessly,” he said.
