Vermont Department of Agriculture Food and Markets Are you a primary producer of agricultural or forest products looking for funding to support market development, research and design, infrastructure improvements, energy projects, or workforce training and development?
Applications for the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative Primary Producer Impact Grant funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) will be available soon! It will be open from 9th to 16th December. Project start date is early summer 2023.
Applicants can apply for grants between $50,000 and $250,000 and must be 100% matched. Only primary producers of agricultural and forest products are eligible to apply for ARPA-funded Primary Producer Impact Grants.
Examples of eligible primary production activities are agriculture, livestock raising, sugaring, dairy farming and logging. Applicants must provide a description of their primary production activities and submit documentation confirming their status as a primary producer.
Primary producers or secondary processors/producers looking for small grants should apply for the Business Enhancement Grant due October 28th.

SIAL is Canada’s largest international food and beverage trade fair, taking place May 9-11, 2023 in Toronto. space.

Short repayment loan app opening soon
The Vermont Economic Development Agency (VEDA) is making funds available through the U.S. Relief Plans Act to help businesses that continue to suffer financially from COVID-19.
November 1st, The application is open to all business divisions. Previously, it was only available to preferred operators as defined by the State of Vermont.
Businesses must have fewer than 500 employees, be operational as of March 13, 2020, and demonstrate economic damage from COVID-19.
You can download the application package from here. It includes tools for calculating eligibility and potential loan size. Applicants are encouraged to seek technical assistance to determine eligibility.
