PHOENIX, Arizona, USA, Oct. 20, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Arizona College of Nursing today announced the opening of a new campus in Aurora, Colorado. This will be her 13th campus location for the university and the first to open in Colorado. The Aurora campus is located at 3131 South Vaughan Way in Aurora. Serving students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in the metropolitan areas of Denver, Aurora, and Lakewood.
Colorado faces a shortage of nurses, and indicators predict demand for new nurses will continue to grow. It is estimated that the state will need approximately 3,300 new nurses annually to make up for the number of nurses retiring and to meet the needs of its growing population. As many nurses are getting older and leaving the profession, not enough nursing students graduate to handle their medical care needs. The need for more nurses in Colorado presents a great opportunity for future nursing graduates.
Arizona College of Nursing is dedicated to meeting the demand for qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) in Colorado and providing the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with qualified transfer credits within three years. We offer programs that we offer to our students. Students experience a combination of classroom learning and hands-on training through simulation labs and clinical rotations. The university is accepting enrollment for the first cohort with classes starting in January 2023.
“Nurses are an integral part of our healthcare system, and their need will only increase as Colorado’s population grows,” said Sean Elliott (DNP, RN), Director of Nursing, Arizona College of Nursing, Aurora Campus. said. “This is an exciting time to pursue a nursing career in Colorado and we are excited to open our Aurora campus. We can prepare.”
Students on campus have the opportunity to gain individual attention and build relationships with faculty and staff. The Aurora campus also offers support services such as tutoring, open lab hours, counseling services, career services, and opportunities to join the Student Nursing Association.
