Our beloved Editor-in-Chief, Arjan Paans, is no longer here. So the weekly newsletter conceived and designed by him looks a little different than what we’re used to. A final tribute to the man who came.
There’s a reason another name has been at the top of this newsletter in place of him for the last few months. I had to let go little by little. The fighting spirit he still possessed in the first few months gradually turned into disappointment and eventually he resigned. His father, another talented journalist, sat over a year ago.
I imagine two people who continue to look at the world from there and extend their life work from their respective perspectives. As for Arjan, it’s done through the editors of Innovation Origins. After all, in recent years Arjan has left his mark on our work with such dedication that we can almost naturally continue to work with his lines and his spirit.
With his journalism experience and achievements, we are proud that Arjan wanted to join our team in 2018. But most of all, losing someone we loved and respected is incredibly sad.
Thank you as always, Arjan, goodbye. We value your journalism legacy and continue to build it in your spirit.
