Aston Martin has partnered with luxury concierge brand VIBROA to unveil its first luxury home in Japan. Incorporating design elements from the high-end performance car brand’s portfolio, this stunning private residence offers the perfect retreat for Aston Martin enthusiasts.
The British ultra-luxury brand, known for creating beautiful and iconic cars, has applied its design touches to Japanese real estate. Following the success of US-based projects such as the Sylvan Rock estate in upstate New York and a home in Miami, the performance car brand has embraced luxury, style and, most importantly, exclusivity.
Aston Martin plans to complete No. 001 Minami Aoyama, a private residence in the Omotesando area, Tokyo’s style and cultural hub, in late 2023.
The approximately 6,000-square-foot private residence sits on 55 acres and is four stories high with a rooftop terrace offering breathtaking views of Tokyo. This luxury home features a wine cellar, home theater, gym and spa. A glass wall provides a clear view of an exhibition-style automotive gallery that can accommodate three Aston Martins. Clean lines and soft, masculine tones throughout the home offer homeowners a soothing retreat. Featuring wood and glass throughout, it is flooded with natural light and creates a holistic atmosphere. The exterior features a dramatic, futuristic façade that draws design elements from Aston Martin’s extensive portfolio.
To complete this project, Aston Martin partnered with VIBROA to leverage local talent and design insight. Japanese luxury home brands are known for combining cutting-edge innovative technology with traditional techniques to create top-quality products and timeless value. The Aston Martin design team will also be responsible for the interiors, while the brand will partner with local architects for exterior design.
The design team draws inspiration from the local culture while developing their creations. Aston Martin Executive Vice President Marek Reichmann highlighted Tokyo’s amazing history, citing everything from architecture to fashion to cuisine as a reference for the team. That emphasis on culture can be seen through their designs. “Through our first ultra-luxury collaboration in Asia with Bibloa, we wanted to give back by tailoring Aston Martin’s property design principles specifically for 001 Minami,” he said.
The No. 001 Minami Aoyama has already been purchased by a private buyer who is reportedly an Aston Martin collector. What’s next for luxury brands? In late 2023, we plan to release the 2024 Aston Martin Valhalla.
