BD: Introduce the Big Drop!nana
Rob (co-founder) and I started Big Drop in 2016. We have a young family and Rob had stopped drinking when his first son was born, but Rob, who worked as a lawyer, was more than happy to take customers to pubs and talk to them. I was exhausted. He stuck with the dull, tasteless AF beer.He asked, “Why can’t anyone make a great AF craft beer?” …and got the master brewer, Johnny.
What sets your brand apart from others?nana
Aside from being the first company, we didn’t set out to make a great AF craft beer. We happened to set out to make great non-alcoholic craft beer. The opposite way of thinking has driven everything we’ve done so far. As a result, Reef Point has rolled out a fantastic new 0.5% ABV craft lager that is both gluten-free and vegan!
What markets is it available in?nana
Big Drop is available in the UK, Australia, US, and parts of Europe and Asia. The UK will always be our home and focus, but it’s exciting to see opportunities in the US (we’re expanding into new states every month at the moment) and Australia, perhaps our fastest growing market. .
What does your job include?nana
I have run a design and development agency for 10 years and have over 20 years experience as a graphic designer. Possible.
How do you see little/no change in the market since you founded Big Drop in 2016?nana
Well, people don’t think we’re crazy anymore! When we started things in 2016, many people thought we were crazy to dedicate ourselves to making AF beer. is joining the AF revolution. Great to watch and participate in.
What does Drynuary look like to you?nana
January was a big spike for us. But as the consumer understood the AF space and the quality and range improved significantly, people were looking for AF options that fit his 24/7 lifestyle. It’s great to see how consumers are moving from seeing AF as a “seasonal promotion” to year-round demand for quality and choice to suit their busy lifestyles.
And what should we look out for from your company for the rest of 2023?nana
Bigger, bigger. The appetite for quality craft AF beer shows no signs of slowing down. Pub groups, favorite restaurants, and even he’s waiting for the train at WH Smith, where you’ll find Big Drop draft beers.
What inspires you on your alcohol-free alcohol journey? nana
AF is no longer a “weak” option. We are proud to have made a difference in consumer perception, but there is still much work to be done.have The team of Laura, Jussi and Club SodaIts great along the journey.like you have Low2No ShowEach year it grew in size, leading directly to an exciting list (racetracks, premiership football fields, rugby fields).
What’s your favorite Big Drop beer?nana
It has to be our Paradiso Citra IPA – it’s a good beer, AF or whatever. Even better, you can walk into a pub and have a pint on draft. That’s right. We have exciting plans for this year’s Paradiso.
