- Discount applies to Delta-operated flights only. It cannot be used on any other airline, even if it is a Delta Air Lines partner.
- Taxes and fees for the full cost of your flight are still on you. No discounts apply to these costs.
- Not all rates are eligible for discounts. Also, this is only valid for flights and not for any other purchases that may be made through the Delta Portal. Please check the Delta website or app to see if the discount is valid.
Which credit cards are eligible for Takeoff 15?
To receive the discount, you must be a cardholder of one of the following American Express services.
This benefit does not apply to Delta Blue SkyMiles cards with no annual fee. It’s worth noting that the lowest annual fee for a card that offers TakeOff 15 benefits is $99 for the Gold card.
If you are not a current cardholder of one of the cards offering this deal, Team Clark recommends first considering the advice of travel credit card money expert Clark Howard. .
“If you’re going to use an airline or hotel card, you need to understand that it usually costs at least about $100 a year. warns Clark.
“So you need a very high charge to make it work. We’re talking a minimum $10,000 monthly bill to make it worth getting many of these cards.” ”
Clark says he often encounters people in the Atlanta area with Delta SkyMiles cards who don’t travel often enough to justify the annual fees that come with these cards.
Before you apply, you might want to consider making an inventory of your annual travel spending to make sure it makes sense to pay a fee for the card you want.
