The Office of Student Organizations, Leadership and Services has opened the Leadership and Service House, a multipurpose space for various student organizations, in the space that was formerly the Vanderbilt Gamma Chapter of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Junior and VSG Vice President Ari Sasson introduced the space and its purpose at the opening event on October 4th.

“Access to the new leadership and service house not only opens the door to our organization, but also symbolizes the Vanderbilt management’s recognition of the importance and prioritization of interfaith dialogue,” said Elmecily. “These office hours will allow student-run religious and spiritual organizations under our umbrella to have increased access to our resources and to increase office access for organizations outside our umbrella, especially universities. Asya Miles, senior co-chair of the Vanderbilt Service Council, agreed with the goal of working with Elmessiry’s organization and other organizations.

“VSC wants to use our space to work with a variety of other organizations across campus, especially those with a similar purpose in serving the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities. In the future, we will be able to use the space given to us to host events with organizations interested in carrying out specific service initiatives,” Miles said.

Events held in the space are designed to provide more social opportunities for students, Sasson said.

“Our goal is for all students to have fun with their fellow West End students and to provide social opportunities for all students, regardless of the organization they belong to,” says Sasson. .
