Dell has shared details of its Alienware 500Hz gaming monitor, which the company also calls the AW2524H. In summary, Dell showcased gaming monitors at his CES 2023 last month. Meanwhile, first he was announced for release in China on February 8th, with a North American release scheduled for March 21st. Unfortunately, Dell has yet to reveal the price of the AW2524H. Even Chinese pricing is a mystery at this stage.
While waiting for pricing on the AW2524H, Dell confirmed that the monitor relies on a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel. The panel outputs 1920 x 1080 pixels at 500 Hz over DisplayPort or 240 Hz using HDMI. For reference, the AW2524H supports 500 Hz refresh rate when overclocked, but runs natively at 480 Hz. Additionally, the panel covers 99% of the sRGB color space and offers VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, TÜV Rheinland certified ComfortView Plus low blue light hardware, and NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer to minimize in-game lag .
Plus, Dell includes AlienFX RGB lighting, a retractable headset hanger, and tons of ports. These are summarized in the figure below. In other words, AW2524H has I/O such as 5 USB ports, 2 HDMI connections and 1 DisplayPort. Dell also confirms that the AW2524H measures 500.51 x 390.51 x 555.14 x 243.71 and weighs 6.80 kg including the stand. However, the monitor is 328.86 x 555.14 x 84.00 mm and 4.44 kg without the stand attached.
