Despite the coronavirus pandemic that raged last year, the 36th annual ranking of billionaires around the world included several Indians on the list: Ambanis, Adanis, Mittals, and All Birlas are on Forbes’ latest rich list.
Here are the top 10 richest Indians.
1. Mukesh Ambani
With a net worth of $90.7 billion, Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, remains the richest person in Asia and the 10th richest person in the world.
2. Gautam Adani and family
Currently Asia’s second richest person, who heads an infrastructure and commodities conglomerate, Adani has a net worth of $90 billion. He is ranked 11th in the world.
3. Shiv Nadar
HCL Technologies Limited founder Nadar is India’s third-richest person, with his fortune up 22% to account for a net worth of $28.7 billion, according to Forbes. The world ranking is 47th.

5. Radakishan Damani
Ranked 81st in the world, Damani has a net worth of $20 billion, having founded Avenue Supermarket, which operates D-marts across the country.
6. Lakshmi Mittal
Chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel and mining company, Lakshmi has a net worth of $17.9 billion and is ranked 89th in the world.
7. Savitri Jindal and family
The woman behind steel and power conglomerate OP Jindal Group, Savitri ranks 91st in the world with a net worth of $17.7 billion. She is the only woman among the top 10 richest Indians and she is one of 13 Indian women on the list of billionaires.
8. Kumar Birla
Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, Kumar is ranked 109th in the world with a net worth of $16.5 billion.
9. Dilip Shanvi
Shanghvi is the man behind Sun Pharmaceuticals, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, ranked 115th in the world. His net worth is $15.6 billion.
10. Uday Kotak
Last but not least, Uday, behind Kotak Mahindra Bank and dubbed by Forbes as “India’s richest self-made banker”, ranks 129th in the world and has a net worth of $14.3 billion. I’m here.
