You are trying to get insurance quotes for Fisker Ocean from the top 10 auto insurance companies in the US. Here’s what we found.
Today, I continue to prepare to become a Fisker Ocean One owner. When Fisker confirmed our build and provided the sequence number, they said the expected delivery quarter was his Q2 2023.
Yesterday, we started looking at our funding options. And now we’ve spent most of his day getting insurance quotes for the soon-to-be-launched Fisker Ocean One. The good news is that some of the top 10 US auto insurance companies have Fisker Ocean on their websites.
After pre-ordering the Fisker Ocean One last July, I contacted my current insurance company to inquire about insurance for an electric SUV. At the time, we did a side-by-side comparison with the Tesla Model 3’s existing coverage. Then you’ll know if Fisker Ocean’s premiums will go up or down.
Almost six months ago, Fisker Ocean’s auto insurance quote from Geico was $545.90 per six months. The insurance quote I received from Geico today was $581.30/6 months, an increase of $35.40/6 months. That’s a little more expensive, but compared to the current rate for the Tesla Model 3, it’s a savings of $19.60 per six months.

Now I wanted to shop around to see how my new Geico insurance quote lined up with the competition. As mentioned earlier, some insurance companies now offer auto insurance quotes online. We found this out this morning when we contacted and researched the top 10 insurance companies in the US. You have successfully obtained auto insurance quotes from Geico, Liberty Mutual, and Farmers Insurance. The results were quite shocking.
I also tried getting auto insurance quotes online from Progressive, 21st Century, Allstate and USAA. However, there is currently no website set up for selecting Fisker Ocean. Additionally, we were unable to obtain online quotes from State Farm, Nationwide, and Travelers.
Geico was the best value for our family. Liberty Mutual cost almost twice as much, even with the same coverage. This compares to farmer’s insurance, which costs about four times as much. We are long term customers of his Geico and may also have home insurance. As the Fisker Ocean One delivery date approaches, I will try again to get a quote for the car online from a Geico competitor.

Does Fisker offer car insurance?
I hope so. Fisker has confirmed that it will offer auto insurance, but it is unclear when. The company has not released any details so far. Through Fisker Finance he will have to wait until more details are released about Fisker’s ongoing insurance product as he will fund Fisker Ocean. We want Fisker to simplify the insurance experience within his Fisker Flexee app while offering competitive rates. Until then, you may stick with your current insurer.
