The Baldacci family chose the Puertas Aviertas Community Resource Center to receive their annual donations this holiday season.
Napa, Calif., December 8, 2022 — It’s gift-giving season and Baldacchi Family Vineyards continues its annual tradition of making generous donations to local Napa charities. This year, the winery chose the Puertas Aviertas Community Resource Center as an award winner to support the health and wellness of its local Latino community. The Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center (PACRC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works with the Latino community of Napa County to promote healthy lifestyles, self-sufficiency, leadership and community involvement. As a tradition, each Balducci Family Vineyard’s annual donation is tied to the number of wine club members, with the winery donating $10 for each active wine club member to a local Napa County nonprofit. As the Baldacci Family Vineyards wine collection continues to receive accolades and high scores, wine lovers are demanding quality bottles, wine club membership has increased significantly and the 2022 donation amount is now Over $12,000. Huijon has a vision of donating over $12,000. “We will invest 50% of the $12,000 or more into the administrative implementation of the La Cultura Cura Program (Health and Wellness) programme, which is a ten-year commitment to promote personal growth, strength and resilience, and Napa development. A psychoeducational workshop series of workshops, members of the Latinx community,” said Huijon. “This program will provide access to behavioral health services to 20 low-income Latinx community members in Napa County. , will provide up to eight individual counseling sessions.” For the other half of the donation, funds will be allocated “to administer three financial literacy workshops that will empower 14 low-income Latinx community members. said Huijon. “Through these workshops, participants will learn how to set short- and long-term financial goals and how to become self-sufficient through each phase of the program.”
