Bilt Rewards is stacking the deck by adding yet another transfer partner to its growing list with Marriott Bonvoy joining the program, effective now. Bilt members can transfer points to Marriott Bonvoy at a rate of 1:1, and for every 20,000 points transferred in a single transaction, members will receive an additional 5,000 Bonvoy points.

Bilt Rewards Adds Marriott Bonvoy Transfers

The only program that allows you to earn rewards while paying rent, Bilt continues to build an impressive portfolio of partners. Marriott joins the Bilt transfer portal with two other hotel programs: World of Hyatt and IHG One Rewards. Bilt Rewards also transfer to a dozen airline programs like American Airlines AAdvantage and United Airlines MileagePlus, among others.

This keen move opens up over 30 Marriott hotel brands and 10,000 destinations worldwide. While Hyatt is wildly popular among award travelers, its reach is considerably smaller compared to what Marriott offers. This might strike a chord with those on the fence about whether or not it’s time to take the leap and apply for the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®.

Marriott properties span the spectrum from budget to bougie and everything in between. While Marriott ditched its award chart, rooms can still be found at reasonable rates—and when combined with benefits like the fifth night free on award stays, points can go even further.

To kick off the new partnership, Bilt members can earn 100 Bilt points just for linking their Bilt and Marriott Bonvoy accounts in the Bilt Rewards app.

Bilt World Elite Mastercard®

You don’t have to be a cardholder to earn Bilt Rewards, but you might want to consider applying for the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®. It doesn’t include a welcome offer, but the Bilt card earns 1 point per dollar on rent payments without the transaction fee (on up to 100,000 points each calendar year), 3 points per dollar on dining, 2 points per dollar on travel (when booked through the Bilt Travel Portal or directly with an airline, hotel, car rental or cruise company), and 1 point per dollar on other purchases. In addition to that, Bilt cardholders earn double rewards up to 10,000 points on dining, travel and other purchases outside of rent on the first day of every month.

Bilt Rent Day Promos

According to Bilt, transfer times can take up to 48 hours but should be near-instant most of the time. That’s excellent news considering what could be in store for the future with Bilt’s generous Rent Day promotions. In the past, Rent Day promos have included a 100% bonus on transfers from Bilt to IHG One Rewards and Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles and up to a 150% bonus on transfers to Emirates Skywards.

Bilt Hotel Award Search Tool

Bilt recently announced a partnership with Awayz.com, a hotel award search engine. Bilt members can now search for hotel award space directly in the Bilt app. The beauty of this is that you’ll get search results for properties available using your Bilt points. This feature looks across all Bilt transfer partner hotels, so you don’t have to search each program individually. You can even pull up a map view to make sure you’re looking for a hotel in the area where you want to be.

Awayz is normally a paid service at $11.99 per month, but Bilt members get 50 free hotel searches every month. Afterward, you’ll have the option to subscribe to Awayz to make additional searches. This is a fantastic addition that can streamline and reduce the time you spend searching for award space.

Bottom Line

With continued additions and innovations, Bilt is laying a solid foundation to be a major player in the points and miles space. Adding Marriott Bonvoy as a hotel transfer partner is a strategic move and a real value-add to program members. It’s exciting to consider what Bilt might introduce next.
