The Colorado Department of Revenue explained that to receive a cashback check, you must meet the following criteria:

Be 18 years of age or older before December 31, 2021.

Was a resident of Colorado for the entire 2021 income tax year.

Filed a 2021 state income tax return or applied for a property tax/rent/heating credit (PTC) refund that year.
The first check was sent to residents who filed taxes before June 30, 2022. These payments were made by September 30, 2022. The second payment is due by January 31st.
