Vacancy at the popular South Essex Shopping Center is filling up and new shops are opening soon.
Fashion giant H&M will exit Basildon’s Eastgate shopping center in August 2021.
This followed the closure of many other major stores in the town centre, including Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, BHS and Topshop.
The unit was used as a Christmas pop-up shop during the Christmas period, but a permanent owner has yet to be found.

Now, Lifestyle and Mobility, which has been on Market Square for almost 21 years, will move to the former H&M division in the centre.
The business is an Essex, Hertfordshire and London based mobility company with hundreds of mobility aids and products.
Echo understands that the new shop is expected to open on March 1st.
An H&M spokesperson announced the store closures in 2021, saying: right place.
“Customers can continue to shop for quality fashion at the best prices in our nearby Lakeside Shopping Center stores or online at hm.com.”
