Free Training Program for Maui Parents and Parents to Become Community Leaders : Maui Now

Applications are being accepted for a free training program that teaches Maui parents and guardians how to be community leaders.

Parent Leadership Training Institute Hawaiiiʻi is a unique program that teaches leadership, advocacy and civic engagement skills. Participants will learn how to effectively create change by attending evening classes and completing practical projects in their own communities.

Hawaii Children’s Action Network, a non-profit organization, has designed programs for anyone who cares about the health of children.

Since 2015, the Institute has graduated over 99 graduates in Hawaii.

The Institute’s Maui cohort will begin on January 7, 2023 with a full-day retreat, followed by 20 weekly sessions and a graduation ceremony. The program will be held virtually, primarily on Zoom, with retreat sessions and graduation ceremonies being held in person.
