These are the funny and shocking words of Brünnhilde Promsel, Adolf Hitler’s think-tank typist and Propaganda Minister Josef Goebbels.
In an interview with The Guardian and even in Christian Krone’s 2016 film German Life, she maintained her innocence and said she had no knowledge of the genocide perpetrated by members of her party led by Hitler and Goebbels. . About 6 million Jewish lives.
Pomsell was Goebbels’ diligent typist and stenographer from 1942 to 1945, was one of the last witnesses, and was a member of the Nazi inner circle. She passed away very recently in 2017 at the age of 106.
“We knew nothing”:
Pomsel said of Goebbels’ devoted employee and eccentric employer, “Good-looking man…a little short”. She spoke of how she carried out the orders given to her without question, and was proud of the fact that “her eagerness to respect her trust was stronger than my curiosity.” I was.

At the end of World War II, when Berlin was besieged by Russian forces, Goebbels remained in Hitler’s bunker. On May 1, 1945, he poisoned his six children, shot his wife, and then himself.
She also thanked the Nazi propaganda ministry for being transferred, stating:Only an epidemic would have stopped me”. She was very happy with her payslip allowing for some tax deductions.
Pomsel continues to say that she has no interest in political issues and is not behind the misbehavior of the Nazi Party. said.I’m not the type to resist, I dare not”.

Zero conscience or another set of lies?
She gave elaborate reasons why she didn’t think the disappearance of millions of Jews was a problem. Her excuses contain no practicality whatsoever, making it hard to believe even for a second.
Not all Jews were put into concentration camps at the same time. Hundreds were killed in the open. It is therefore highly unlikely that Pomsel never encountered these atrocities happening right under her nose. I could believe that I had never encountered anything like it.
She comes out as a totally apathetic woman who was only interested in climbing the social ladder and securing a position in the upper echelons of society. She claimed she learned about the Holocaust “later”.
Again, it seems highly unlikely that she was unaware of events that had the whole world at stake, especially if they were happening in her own country organized by her own superiors.
Pomsel did not repent until he died. She said her conscience is clear and she doesn’t feel guilty about anything. Pomself only served five years in prison, but this was no punishment given the scale of her spine-chilling genocide in which she was also involved…intentionally or intentionally. not yet confirmed.
