Not only did I get the chance to visit the Disneyland Resort for the first time on November 12th as an early birthday celebration with my sister, but I came just in time for the Disney Festival of Holidays and had the chance to taste and appreciate a few . Enjoy holiday food and drink this year at both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Park.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
banana foster funnel cake fries
We started the day at Disney California Adventure, went to Award Winners in Hollywood Land, and cracked Banana Foster Funnel Cake Fries for a late breakfast. This sweet holiday treat is “topped with cinnamon banana sugar, caramel sauce, whipped topping, and fried bananas.”
If it wasn’t for the fried bananas I would have given this an easy 10/10. Would have preferred real bananas instead of dried and fried ones.
Otherwise great. My sister and I love banana-growing desserts, so we figured we wouldn’t be disappointed. Not too sweet and appetizing.

Esquito Carnitas Mac & Cheese
Next, at Merry Mashup’s booth across from Pixar Pier, I sampled Esquites Carnitas Mac & Cheese, which includes “carnitas, salsa matcha, spicy puffed rice, freeze-dried corn, and chopped coriander.”
We are big fans of mac & cheese and Mexican food so we couldn’t skip this one! that’s tasty. No complaints other than the spicy side. You will definitely catch water with this!

chicken tikka masala
Next, at the Favorite Things stand, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala featuring ‘Cardamom Basmati Rice, Lemon Raita, Coriander, Garlic Naan Crumble’.
Fragrant and tasty, but could use a little more sauce.

Churros toffee cold brew latte (non-alcoholic)
If you’re heading to Disney California Adventure this holiday season, be sure to try the Churros Toffee Cold Brew Latte (non-alcoholic) at the Favorite Things Stand. The drink is “Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company® Mexican Blend Coffee, Demerara Sugar, Cinnamon Sugar, Vanilla Bean and Almond Milk with Churros Syrup, Whipped Cream and Chocolate Toffee Crumble.”
Of course, my sister wanted to know that this was her coffee addiction.
Considering this factor, when I say this churros cold beer is great, you’ll most likely believe I mean it! I can only say that I was impressed. fantasy.
The sweet churros chocolate flavor is so strong that you wouldn’t think it’s coffee, and it’s perfect for replenishing energy for guests who don’t usually drink coffee. But if you enjoy strong coffee flavors and lack a sweet tooth, this may not be the holiday drink for you.

luigi chicken pestocorn
Then, head to Radiator Springs to try the Luigi Chicken Pesto Corn at Cozy Corn Motel, which consists of “creamy pesto alfredo pasta, marinated chicken, balsamic glaze, bruschetta tomatoes, and Romano cheese.”
The cone itself isn’t very flavorful, but the filling definitely makes up for it.

Caramel Toffee Horchata Cold Brew
I fell in love with the Churro Toffee Cold Brew Latte and my sister was still tired and wanted to try the Pacific Wharf Cappuccino Cart’s Caramel Toffee Horchata Cold Brew. Finished with toffee whipped topping, caramel drizzle and toffee.
I was worried about the coffee flavor in some parts, and the cinnamon was a little strong, but I can say that this is easy to drink! We both liked it, but agree the churros cold brew is better.

charcuterie pizza slice
Shortly thereafter, we walked to Disneyland Park and tried a charcuterie pizza slice at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland. This slice of pizza is “topped with pesto cream sauce, fig he marmalade, prosciutto, capoccolo, Spanish chorizo, caramelized onions, cornichons, his cheese blend, and arugula.”
We are from New Jersey so we are very picky when it comes to pizza. Unfortunately, this slice turned out to be mediocre. Compared to other Disney park quick service pizzas, it’s probably slightly better than pizza from Disney’s Hollywood Studios Pizzerizzo, but the Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Definitely inferior to the flatbread pizza at Pinocchio Village House in Kingdom.
I also wanted to try the Holiday Green Alien Macarons for dessert, but unfortunately they were sold out that night. Completely disappointing as we enjoy macarons so much, but hopefully next year!

cranberry barbecue chicken sandwich
Also, Tomorrowland’s Galactic Grill’s Cranberry BBQ Chicken Sandwich is a “fried chicken sandwich with cranberry BBQ sauce, provolone, onion rings, arugula, citrus bacon aioli, served on a toasted brioche bun, served with Greek yogurt or fries.” potato.”
This is one of the best, if not the best, sandwiches I have ever had at a theme park. Could use a little more sauce, but the fried chicken was full of flavor and all the toppings paired well with each other.

Mickey Mouse Holiday Apple
Finally, on our way out of the park, we ended the night by grabbing a Mickey Mouse Holiday Apple from Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street in America. Green Granny Smith apples with marshmallow ears dipped in caramel, drizzled with green and red white chocolate and sprinkled with holiday cheer.”
We both loved this! A perfect combination of chocolate and caramel – especially when warm. I highly recommend taking this apple home or bringing it to your hotel room and heating it in the microwave for about 12 seconds to melt the chocolate/caramel. The Mickey Apple Pie Caramel Apple is still our favorite Mickey Apple, but this one is a close second!
Rating: 10/10
All in all, my sister and I had such a great time sampling these holiday snacks.Besides Charcuterie Pizza Slice, next (or first like us) to Disneyland ResortMore I would definitely recommend all of these on your trip.
