Singapore, January 26, 2023: Hyatt Hotels Corporation declares a record pipeline of nearly 117,000 rooms worldwide in its year-end 2022 report released earlier this week.
Notably, nearly a quarter of hotels under development are classified as lifestyle hotels, representing 10% of the existing portfolio, further strengthening Hyatt’s position in the luxury, lifestyle and leisure segments .
A notable driver of this growth was the announcement of Dream Hotel Group’s acquisition of Asset Light, a lifestyle hotel brand and management platform, which will bring established lifestyle hotel brands such as Dream Hotels, Unscripted Hotels and The Chatwal to It is expected to join the Hyatt portfolio. The acquisition adds over 600 new properties to the Hyatt family.
Hyatt anticipates further organic growth in its luxury, lifestyle and leisure offerings in Asia Pacific.
Park Hyatt
The Park Hyatt brand will expand into the Asia Pacific region in 2024 with Park Hyatt Taipei (Taiwan), Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Park Hyatt Phu Quoc (Vietnam).
Andaz
In 2023, the group plans to add Andaz Doha in Qatar and Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach in Thailand.
Andaz Macau is set to become one of Asia’s iconic event destinations, with the opening of the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) inside the world’s largest Andaz hotel, featuring more than 700 rooms and suites.
Greater China’s Andaz Nanjing Hexi opens in Nanjing.
Centric
Expansion of the Hyatt Centric brand includes the opening of Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai and Hyatt Centric Xi’an Gaoxin.
Destination by Hyatt
The Destinations by Hyatt brand’s anticipated Asia Pacific debut will begin later this year at a grand resort in Mount Qingcheng, China.
