iHeartMedia announces the appointment of Jay C. Lowe as area president of stations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Lowe joined iHeartMedia from Sinclair Broadcasting, where he served as Vice President/GM of Stations Mobile AL and Pensacola FL. He previously served as General Manager of Sinclair in Birmingham, his GM/GSM at KEYE-TV Austin, and held sales management positions at television stations in Memphis and Oklahoma City.
Rowe will take on the role previously held by John Phillips until he left the company in September 2022 to become CEO of Youth Scoreboard.
iHeartMedia today announced the appointment of Jay C. Lowe as Area President – Oklahoma. iHeartMedia Oklahoma includes a number of iconic brands and franchises, both broadcast and digital, with a strong cross-platform presence and coverage of over 14 stations in music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia leads consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As the newly appointed Area President, Rowe will oversee operations at 14 stations, including Top 40 KJYO, Country KTST Oklahoma City, his legendary KMOD in Tulsa, and the Oklahoma AG network. Lowe will report to Tony Coles, his divisional president of iHeartMedia.

A 30-year broadcast industry veteran, Lowe has led radio and television operations in several markets, including Austin, Texas, Birmingham, Alabama, and Oklahoma City. Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager of He WEAR-TV in Pensacola, Florida and He WPMI-TV in Mobile, Alabama. Rowe is a graduate of the American Broadcasting School in Oklahoma.
