Cabinet secretary nominee Kitule Kindiki confused parliamentarians after he confused President William Ruto with former President Uhuru Kenyatta during a review.
Kindiki said while appearing before a 15-person nominations committee in County Hall that he would have no problem working under President Uhuru Kenyatta, not President William Ruto.
“With President Uhuru Kenyatta, I have no problem working under Vice President Rigati Gachagua,” he said.
However, he corrected his statement claiming that Kenyatta “kicked me out for no reason.”
“I am very pleased to serve under President William Ruto, Vice President Ligati Gachagua, my colleagues and government agencies,” he revealed.
According to Kithur Kindiki, his net worth is Ksh 544 million, which consists of land, buildings and bank deposits worth about Ksh 50 million. His current source of income is his legal practice. He also runs several businesses and is a consultant to local and international companies. pic.twitter.com/sjEKrKq68Y

Kindiki served as Senator for Tharaka-Nithi from 2013 to 2022.
He won the seat in his first attempt at electoral politics.
He was then elected the first leader of the majority in the Senate, a position he held until becoming Vice-President after the 2017 general election.
A victim of clashes between President Uhuru Kenyatta and then-Vice President Ruto, he was flogged from the position in 2020.
Prior to his election, he taught law at Moi University and the University of Nairobi since 1999.
In 2004 he joined the University of Nairobi and returned to Moi until 2005 as Head of the Department of Public Law.
He served as the Ministry of Justice’s Director for National Cohesion in the immediate aftermath of the 2008 post-election riots. He was instrumental in drafting the National Unity and Integration Act.
However, he resigned after three months, accusing the government of a lack of political will to resettle hundreds of thousands of displaced persons before the 2007/08 post-poll skirmish.
He came into the limelight when Root appointed him to his legal team when he was confronted with crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
