LA Cares
USPS Postal Workers and local Boy Scouts team up to support LA Cares, our local food pantry. This is the time when residents are asked to leave a grocery bag near their mailbox to pick it up and donate it to LA Cares. Postal workers, Boy Scouts and other volunteers will tour the streets of Los Alamos and White Rock on Saturday, November 19 to collect donations. Please put your groceries out in the morning for easy pick up. Food is brought to a central location, sorted, and ready for storage.
LA Cares relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations in Los Alamos County. The community has been extremely generous with both food and cash donations, allowing LA Cares to give back to those in need. In addition to monthly food rations, LA Cares also provides rent and utility assistance to Los Alamos County residents once every 12 months.
