The former vice president filed a financial disclosure report Wednesday, giving the clearest personal financial picture since leaving the White House.
Presidential candidate Mike Pence has received more than $4.8 million in speaking, writing and consulting since early 2022, according to a financial disclosure report filed with the federal government on Wednesday. Pence’s memoir “So Help Me God” offered an upfront payment of $1.4 million. He earned an additional $3.4 million for his 32 speeches.
Mr. Pence speaks, writes and consults through a company called Hoosier Heartland LLC. The disclosure listed his $1.8 million in business revenue for that entity. Pence also noted a $381,000 salary from Hoosier Heartland.
He got another windfall from a relative. The disclosure shows two family trusts, one of which is worth more than $1 million and has started earning between $100,000 and $1 million since early 2022. The second trust is much smaller, worth just $50,000 to $100,000.
This is a developing story. Please check back for the latest information.
