Fokus Pro is a highly accomplished earphone from high-end audio manufacturer Noble. Boasting incredible sound quality, a comfortable fit, and strong battery life, it’s a great option for those who want to listen lazily at home. With a dedicated ANC mode, no audio passthrough, and only splash-proof, these buds rank high in his pack of premiums.

Over the years, public expectations of what a true “premium” earphone has to offer have risen relentlessly.

Good sound may have been enough in the past, but now a range of features from waterproofing to powerful noise cancellation are the norm.

In contrast, the Noble Fokus Pro buds present something of a conundrum. I’m here.

The likes of Sony, Bose, and Sennheiser offer all of the above features more, promise above-average listening, and some boast codec support and other goodies. So can you make a profit by gambling to this extent?

The term “premium” within a design context usually means a few things, but these are primarily attempts to define the X-factor at which a device feels more expensive than its price.

For earbuds, that could mean using metal in construction, or a slight embossment for a quest for refinement limited only by the designer’s mind. is normally prohibited.

In contrast, the Noble Fokus Pro don’t look classy at first glance, but looks can be deceiving. The lessons learned in have been successfully applied here.

The buds themselves have the look of more typical in-ear monitors than the usual true wireless options. So there’s a pop of blue with a pattern resembling custom 3D printed guitar drumsticks. It changes in the light and is unnoticeable in the ear, making it very unique to its competitors as a result.

They are relatively large and heavy, but form a comfortable and secure seal in your ears – enough to passively block out a lot of background noise. It’s included, and the case holds a bud for charging when not in use.

The case is quite bulky, made of sturdy metal, and feels cool and heavy in your hand. Built to withstand an unexpected fall without any problem. Charging is via USB-C and a cable is included. The size of the case can be an issue for commuters, as it’s meant to fit in a bag or jacket pocket, not a skinny pants pocket.

This should not be taken as a disrespect to Fokus Pro, as it better reflects the intended use case.These aren’t meant to stave off boredom on a hard run in the rain or a noisy commute, they’re for home, relaxation, and really listen.

Considering what Noble Fokus Pro doesn’t have, there’s a lot to talk about, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t feature-rich in and of itself.

First, the codec support has been strong from the start, with aptX and aptX Adaptive support across Bluetooth 5.2, as well as buds supporting SBC and AAC. Each bud has a Knowles balanced armature and his 8.2 mm custom dynamic driver, custom tuned by John ‘the Wizard’ Chen.

As expected, there are apps available for both iOS and Android that offer EQ tweaks along with the ability to create custom sound profiles and adjust the device’s gesture controls.

The option to create individual sound profiles proved particularly good. Selecting this option presents the user with a listening test and the resulting effects are designed to provide a completely customized experience. In practice, it has proven to have a rather dramatic effect (for the better), and the result is a big plus.

The buds are described as “splash-proof” and don’t offer waterproofing, but the manufacturer makes it clear that these aren’t great for exercise. It is best to look for the location of

When it comes to sound insulation issues, things are not binary. Fokus Pro does not have active noise cancellation. But while different sizes of ears may have different experiences, we found the fit to be snug enough that outside noise wasn’t an issue.

What’s obviously missing is the inclusion of any kind of audio passthrough mode, but if you need to hear an announcement or someone speaking, you’ll have to remove the buds from your ears completely. It’s not the biggest problem in the world, but again, competition offers a lot more in this area.

Finally, the mic quality proved to be fairly consistent. That means that even without replacing your headset with a dedicated mic, these can also act as companions for video calls.

When it all comes down to sonic performance, does the Noble Fokus Pro live up to its promise? Fortunately, the answer is yes. These buds simply sound great.

The first thing you notice immediately is the size of the soundstage on offer. Everything feels roomy and spacious, making it easy to place individual instruments on more complex tracks. This is especially useful for lavish orchestral arrangements. This means that if you’re a big fan of classical music, these automatically come in handy.

The positive impression continues with deep, round and punchy bass. Punk, dance, EDM and rock are particularly well represented, and Fokus Pro offers an enjoyable listening experience for all.

Certain genres and songs are often better suited to certain genres when using headphones, but the Noble Fokus Pro has no real weaknesses. The only thing that can be criticized is that it can’t be used for reference listening, but that’s not the intended use case.

Regardless of your musical taste, these buds will prove to be charming. If sound quality is your top priority, you should add it to your list.
