Rodman, NY (WWNY) – Anna Marie Lowe, 87, passed away peacefully on her birthday on Wednesday evening, October 19, 2022, at the Samaria Tankeep Nursing Home in Watertown, NY, with her family.
Anna was born on October 19, 1935 in California to the late Manuel & Hazel (Bernie) Bettencourt.
Anna graduated high school and married Howard Fred Lowe. She started her career as a factory worker at the Sherwood Medical Facility in Watertown, New York.
Mr Lowe passed away on December 21, 2009.
The couple has four children, she has a daughter Robin (Timothy) Hannon, Rodman. Son, Rodney (Anne) Rowe, Watertown. her daughter, Kelly (Vinnie) Prentice, Redfield; and her daughter, Sally (Sean) Reynolds, Rodman. Also surviving are Angie (Scott) Laso, Jodie (Matthew) Burdick, April (Scott) Swafford, James Reynolds, Rebecca (Daniel) Bunnell, Paul (Rhonda) Lowe, Rodney Lowe Jr. and his 17 grandchildren. Great-grandson. her sister Beverly Johnson and two brothers, Charles and John Bettencourt.
Anna loved spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending sporting events, and dancing. She spent the winter at her home in Florida and in her spare time enjoyed her word puzzles and game shows. She was loved by all who knew her.
She died before her parents, Manuel and Hazel, and her dog, Lily.
Due to the wishes of the bereaved family, formal services will not be provided. But all who loved her are invited to a graveside service by her family at Fairview Cemetery in Rodman, New York on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. All are invited to a celebration of life at 4:00 pm at The Gathering Barn, 14369 County Route, 145 County Route, Sackett’s Harbor, NY. A memorial donation can be made to a charity of your choice in Anna’s name.
