tell me Blissful Waters Float CenterWhat is your business story? Why did you decide to create/launch business?
Blissful Waters Float Center is a float therapy center located here in Woodlands, Texas. Specializing in sensory deprivation floats. Float therapy has been around since his ’70s, and has fortunately evolved into a spacious cabin with music and lighting options if complete silence is a challenge.
For me, I loved my first float. I loved the peace and quiet that the float tank provided. I was very stressed out before I realized I was floating. The thought of driving from Texas to Florida with my family was terrifying. I said to her husband,
My husband sent me to Austin for the weekend and float. He had floated in Australia before and figured that would help bring me back. Hooray! I love it and have made it a habit to float. Floating not only cleared my head and allowed me to think for myself, but it made me really happy and changed the way I looked at life. I wanted to be a regular floater, but Houston’s only float center proved to be too far for me.
I started thinking about how I could bring this idea to my community. If this helps me a lot then I imagined what it would do for others.I passed this idea on to my husband and the benefits of floating and establishing his own float center Doing business researched her case.

Each float session begins with a zero gravity massage in a relaxing and calming environment.
We started as a two-float room float center specializing in sensory deprivation. Float therapy is at the heart of what we do. What is Float Therapy?
Floating therapy has several names. Isolation tanks, floating, sensory deprivation tanks, float pods, etc. Blissful Waters Float Center float tank size is 7×8 feet. It is filled with 1600 pounds of Epsom salt and is about 10 to 12 inches tall. Sound and light shielded water and air are designed to be the same temperature as your body. It’s meant to make you lose your sense of self, as if you were floating in space. You float naked and are cut off from all external stimuli.Including sound, sight and gravity. The buoyancy of water allows you to float effortlessly in weightlessness. This environment allows the brain to enter a state of deep relaxation.
For some people, spending time in dark, quiet, enclosed spaces can be scary. There are 3 float rooms. All rooms have music and dim relaxing lighting options. Last year we added a new float his room for clients who challenge sensory deprivation or claustrophobia. Room 3 has fiber optic lights that make you feel like you’re under the stars.
Practicing float can benefit so many people. Creative people, those who are looking for more creativity. If you have a sports injury, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, or just want to relax deeply, I encourage you to try Float His Therapy. Our clients include athletes of all ages, entrepreneurs, artists, those suffering from chronic pain, and date night couples. We recommend ages 11 and up for floating as the water is very salty.

What did you look for when building and adding teams?
I was able to grow because of the Bliss team. Thank you to each member of the team. My husband has everything floating in the background. He maintained all the facilities and designed the space. When considering joining the Bliss team, look for someone with a server mind. Customer service is critical to the Blissful Waters Float Center business model. I want to relax my brain and body. Make as few decisions as possible. we pour your tea Guide you to the room and help restore the client. I have been very lucky with my team members and I cannot do enough good things about my current and past team members. We encourage all team members to use the service for free. We want our float her guides to know how their clients feel and to be the best versions of themselves. If the bucket is empty, it cannot serve other users. We are looking for healthy, happy and open-minded team members.
Has anything ever gone according to plan? what would you do?
This is the first business I own. I opened many restaurants in my previous life. We have trained and assisted in the opening process, but Blissful Waters Float Center is the first of its kind, from business planning to construction and opening day. There are many things I wish I could have done differently, but I believe some of those mistakes gave me the guts to be a business owner. Originally, we planned to have four float rooms, but fortunately we ended up with two float rooms. The mistake we made with our contractor is the story I decided to stop talking about. I love The Woodlands community and have felt support from day one when I opened the doors to the Blissful Waters Float Center.

How has your business evolved since its inception?
Blissful Water Float Center started as a two float room centre. Added an additional float room, the Starry Night Float Room, during the COVID shutdown. The following year, an infrared sauna room with shower was added. Many clients were coming for hot cold therapy. I discovered the benefits of heat and cold for muscle recovery, menopausal symptoms, mental strength and more. That’s when our fire and ice room was born. Added.
I had the pleasure of attending the 2021 Float Therapy Conference. I learned a lot there and met some great people in the same industry. Discover Brain Tap technology with Grounding Mat Service. The service combines brainwave balancing quick in/out sessions, meditation programs, subconscious reprogramming, and grounding vibration mats to increase circulation and relieve pain to help clients reach their goals. We provide a quick way. This service is offered in store, but clients can walk out with the app and stick to the program at home. It has become the glue to our other services. I am happy with everything you do. I love seeing people naturally become their true selves without the use of harmful substances. This year, the Blissful Waters Wellness line was born. Wellness line of adaptogens, nootropics and cannabinoids.
A word to readers who are thinking of starting a business. What do you wish someone had told you when you started?
If you start your own business, network and join the Chamber of Commerce. Find someone you trust and have a good reputation to work with. It is your dream and you are serving others. Stick to your goals. Take a step back, think and meditate. Come afloat, balance your thoughts, trust your intuition, and be patient. Must be assertive. Success isn’t just in your lap (unless you’re lucky). It takes work, but I’ve learned that sometimes you push too hard and you push too fast. Join network groups, meet with vendors and contractors, and always check your credentials. Finding a good business coach is always a good start. I have attended many programs ranging from business plan writing to social media marketing.
