Sonus Faber has unveiled its first-ever outdoor speaker, the aptly named Aster (unfortunately, reports say it’s not the typical purple hue of flowers). Available in black or white for outdoor use, his Aster has a more subdued look than the company’s famously striking wood speaker design. That said, don’t you think Pixar’s own lamp is cute enough for his style of animation?
Designed to bring music beyond the walls of your home, including public spaces such as restaurants, hotels and museums, it’s IP65 certified, so it’s compatible with outdoor speaker briefs. .
Sonus Faber aimed to make installation easier for even the novice outdoor speaker via a mounting bracket system that allows the speaker to be easily tilted in 15-degree increments.
The Italian brand says Aster’s two symmetrically positioned passive radiators can deliver “rich bass immersion” and a “surreal listening experience.”
The Sonus Faber Aster, which will be available in the spring starting at £450 (£/AU$tbc), will be on display alongside a custom range of the company’s new Arena flagship at the ISE 2023 show in Barcelona (which kicks off today). I imagine it will be on display. Install the speaker and its old his Palladio CI model.
