TCU Elite Dance is raising money to compete at the Spring Nationals.
TCU Elite Dance is a student-run sports team. This year, she is being mentored by Camille Eastin, a psychology and child development major, and Sofia Votava, a strategic communications major.
Every year, the team competes with other universities in a national competition.
“We are competing at the D1 level,” Eastin said. “So we’re competing against other Big 12 schools, Big 10 schools, and different people, mostly from the West Coast.”
The team is gearing up to travel to Anaheim, California for the national competition. They use social media to disseminate information and raise money for their competition.
“We created a lot of social media content,” says Votava. “We did a Venmo bingo and asked all members to post it on their Instagram story. We spread the word and made sure all social media posts included a link to donate.”
The team raised $30,000 of their $40,000 goal. Elite Dance can save you any amount of money, from earrings to hotel rooms. To donate, visit https://advancement.tcu.edu/new/onlinegiving/sportclub.
