Tesla is preparing to unveil a new $3.5 billion advanced manufacturing facility in Nevada where it will build semi trucks. The new plant will be unveiled at an event in Giga Nevada on Tuesday with state officials, including Gov. Joe Lombardo.
Tesla originally planned to build the semi truck at its newest US plant, Giga Texas. Those plans changed slightly, and Tesla switched to building the Semi at a new manufacturing facility just minutes from Giga Nevada. Tesla has never confirmed it, but it was presumed that it was sticking with the original plan, eventually moving production to Gigahe Texas.
Those plans have changed again, and it looks like Tesla will keep semi production in Nevada.
