we love the caribbean The white sands and turquoise waters are crystal clear and an inviting warmth. Every place I investigate seems to be as pristine as the next. So how do you choose from a seemingly similar and equally impressive list of tropical getaways? Well, these are the top 8 according to the 2022 TripAdvisor Travel Choice Awards. You can choose.

See which one suits you best and see your final escape from the cold.

8) Playa Pilar

Starting the countdown at number eight on the list is Playa Pilar. This beach in Cayo Guillermo, Cuba is known for its abundance of starfish. If you are staying at a resort in the area, the beach is easily accessible by shuttle or taxi.

For a day trip, you don’t need to carry a lot of stuff. There is a nice boardwalk past restaurants and bars and down to the sand for all your food and drink needs. When you arrive, rent his lounge chair for just $5 and spend his day relaxing and having a great time.

This beach is located in Bavaro, Dominican Republic. You will be surrounded by a positive atmosphere where visitors and staff alike are happy and kind people. 6) Magens Bay

Continuing east, you’ll arrive at Magens Bay, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. This beach has very calm waters, perfect for children to play without fear of being crushed by the waves. It’s part of a national park, so there’s an entrance fee, but it comes with well-maintained toilets and clean sand.

be careful. This is a popular stop for cruise ships. So if you’re looking for a more peaceful visit, research your arrival time and plan around that. If you end up sharing the beach with more people, the views it offers are worth it.

Again, look a little further east to St. John’s Cruz Bay. If you are looking for a snorkeling adventure on this trip, this is the place. Lots of sea turtles, rays, and colorful fish! The drive from Cruz Bay to the beach is spectacular. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by live music and a vibrant atmosphere, well hidden by the bay to protect yourself from the wind.

The U.S. Virgin Islands National Park in St. John contains not one but two beaches on the list. Trunk Bay Beach, also in the national park, has become seriously popular over the years. With snorkeling trails around stunning reefs, it’s not hard to see why.

If this is why you and many others are traveling to explore, rent gear for $6, get out there early, and enjoy the coral alone. The thing is, there are plenty of shaded spots to take a nap once you’ve finished all your snorkeling.
