New students entering the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in the fall 2023 semester can take advantage of the university’s groundbreaking Student Success Initiative, which offers half off course tuition and fees for two years.
Dr. Christina Drale, Dean of UA Little Rock said: “Continuing this scholarship initiative is one of several important steps the university is taking to expand opportunities and improve student success.”
Due to our commitment to student success, new students with 11 hours or less of transfer credit can receive up to a 50% discount on tuition and fees for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years.
First announced last fall, the initiative provides additional access for students across the state while raising awareness of the world-class educational opportunities offered at the state’s only Metropolitan University. Located in the heart of the state capital, UA Little Rock is steps away from some of the state’s best career, cultural and entertainment opportunities.
The scholarship is worth up to $10,000 over two years, made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor who contributed $25 million to the university in 2020. Recipients of scholarships are based on academic success, financial literacy, and life skills.
All new students who are unconditionally enrolled at UA Little Rock and complete at least 12 credits in the Fall 2023 semester are eligible for scholarships. No additional application required. A student who achieves her 2.25 GPA or higher in the Fall 2023 semester is eligible to renew her scholarship for the Spring semester.
