New students in Cebu are encouraged to study the Innovative Six-Year Program (6YP) at the University of Asia Pacific (UA&P) for their next academic year.
This program enables Grade 10 graduates to earn a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree, and master’s degree in just six years.
“The 6YP begins with a liberal arts program that gives students a strong foundation in their chosen field of study. can make a significant contribution not only to academia and industry, but also to society.
Students under the 6YP can choose to pursue a master’s degree in the areas of Management with a specialization in International Relations and Development, Integrated Marketing Communications, Humanities, Media and Entertainment Management, Industrial Economics, and Political Economy.
Year 10 students whose desired course is not included in the master’s courses offered by 6YP may choose to graduate from UA&P high school without taking the university entrance exam and pursue a bachelor’s degree of choice at UA&P.
Maria Alexandria Patricia Decena, 22, holds a Master’s Degree in Management from UA&P. She is a postgraduate student majoring in Marketing Analytics and Insights in Singapore, she would like to work for a fintech or consumer her technology multinational company doing research on user her experience.
Decena belongs to UA&P’s first 6YP graduates in 2022.
“Both quantitative and qualitative information can be processed to provide concrete insights and recommendations on real-world impact,” says Decena. “Thank goodness she has a 6YP curriculum that gives her the critical thinking skills she needs early in the program.”
UA&P is a private, non-profit higher education institution offering some of the best academic programs in Asia. All UA&P programs of study are liberal arts based. (KOC)
