US Marines hit back at Mark Wahlberg’s scolding of his small business

Gym owner and retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Lou Puleo said today: Mark WahlbergUnnecessary social media posts about his business when Mark scolds him for not opening the gym at 3am on Sundays.

An Instagram post Wahlberg made over the weekend showed him in front of Pleo’s gym in Aiken, South Carolina. Work out anytime Aiken“We’re at Anytime Fitness at 3:05 a.m. It’s supposed to be 24/7. I called today to arrange a workout. This is not fitness at any time, it’s part-time.” , is timeless.”

One has to wonder why Wahlberg resorted to making such a video without considering the possibility of misunderstanding. He also mistook the window ad for the gym’s name and pointed out his 24/7 sticker on the window that contradicted the gym’s opening hours. You can see the Instagram post here.

Wahlberg’s post received a slew of responses, most of them from people in on the fun of denouncing small businesses, but noting that someone like Wahlberg could harm such businesses. Some expressed how low it was to make a high video.

Today, Pleo Augusta Chronicleexpressed shock, and unlike Wahlberg’s claims, no one made any promises to them.

Puleo explained that employees typically don’t work on weekends and weekend training is by appointment. From there, the story is almost comical. Because the manager saw the post, checked his voicemail again, and said that starting Saturday, he and some others wanted to come to late-night training.

The gym was closed and the 24/7 ad mentioned the fact that you could work out anytime with a reservation on the weekend, so he decided to call the number back and messaged him. I spoke to a man who said A member of Wahlberg’s team.

The unnamed person claimed to have spoken to someone named Ashley, but Ashley is just the name of an automated, pre-recorded greeting voice that can leave messages. Ashley is not an employee of the company and is not actually a real person.

Upon learning of this, a representative of Mark’s team hung up.

So someone on Wahlberg’s team called, left a message, told Mark that he had an appointment, and Mark seemed upset that no one was at the gym at 3am. Does that guy on Mark’s team want to admit cheating? He apparently forgot to tell Mark that he just left a message.
