Raleigh, North Carolina (WNCN) — Kamala Harris will be visiting Raleigh to discuss the White House’s efforts to support small businesses in North Carolina.
On Monday morning, Harris joined Air Force Two with Democratic NC representatives Wiley Nickel (NC-13), Deborah Ross (NC-02) and Valerie Hoosie (NC-04). The group departed from Andrews Air Force Base, where several photos were taken and shared on Twitter.
Governor Roy Cooper, Raleigh Mayor Mary Ann Baldwin, and other local and state leaders will meet when they land at the RDU.
The plan is for the group to travel to the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, where a roundtable will be moderated by Isabel Guzman, Director of Small Business Management.
“We are honored to welcome Vice President Harris to North Carolina’s District 13,” Nickel said in a statement Monday.
“Small businesses and entrepreneurs are the backbone of this economy. We are working with the administration, Governor Cooper, state federal delegations, and local and community leaders to identify what small businesses and entrepreneurs need to thrive here in North Carolina. I’m excited to make sure I have the support and resources I need,” he added.
