Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of women professionals in and around government services, is accepting applications for its annual leadership seminar. This program is offered in partnership with the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
This two-day professional development opportunity will be offered on March 3, 2023 and March 10, 2023. It is aimed at women currently working in local, state, or federal government who want to develop a variety of leadership skills. skills such as management and communication.
“The Leadership Seminar is one of our signature programs and a unique opportunity to learn from the renowned La Follette School faculty and network with other participants and government leaders,” said Audra of WWIG. A class of about 25 women is selected to participate. The tuition fee is $400 and must be paid by the first day of the seminar. This fee includes:
- 12 hours of classes taught by La Follette School staff and guest speakers
- Networking opportunities with other women in government
- Lunch and refreshments during breaks each day of the seminar
