Complimentary Pet Celebration welcomes dogs on leashes at costume contests, pet fairs and more
San Luis Obispo — The Woods Humane Society will be hosting a community (leash dog or (including friendly dogs).
Closing out National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month in October, the free, fall-themed community pet extravaganza features dog carnival activities like stuffed animal pulling and tennis ball tossing, as well as activities for kids and dogs. We offer Halloween celebrations such as: Costume Contest and Trick For Treat Training Challenge.
You can also get seasonal family photos taken at the Woods Pupkin Patch and Santa’s Footprints, or shop for gifts and merchandise from local artisans at the outdoor pet fair to get ready for the holidays.

Festival vendors include Ziggy’s Hot Vegan Takeout, Paradise Shaved Ice, Gentle Touch Pet Training, Central Coast Veterinary Services, Doggy Salon & Spa, CARE 4 Paws Critical Pet Services, Face Painting by Inspirational Art Center and more. His nearby SLO County Animal Services will also be offering free microchips for pets during the event (while supplies last).
