Vermont Business Magazine AFT Vermont, a member of Community Health Centers (CHC) and Community Health United (CHU), has ratified a new union agreement. This new contract builds on existing contracts with professional staff and currently includes 168 support his staff. It will be:
- Raises minimum rate to $20/hour in August 2023
- Expansion of paid leave (including 15 days of paid childcare leave)
- Increase staff input to improve orientation, training, health and safety

CHC Physician Assistant, CHU President Andrea Solomon, said: The wages, paid leave and improved working conditions agreed in this agreement will go a long way in recruiting and retaining the staff we need to better serve our patients. ”
The parties were assisted by mediator, FMCS Commissioner Annie Rutsky. The newly ratified agreement will enter into force on February 4, 2023.
