“Very Huge” Opportunities for Partners
With a new deal with HPE GreenLake for VMware, Hang Tan, senior vice president and chief strategy officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, said HPE’s GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise is a key enabler for large-scale hybrid cloud opportunities. It will be placed in “pole position”.
Mr Tan said: “We want to help them deliver that private cloud aspect (hybrid cloud mix). Additionally, we offer managed services to help our customers manage their hybrid multicloud environments. It’s a huge opportunity.”
The new HPE GreenLake for VMware (expected to be available in the first half of 2023) was announced at VMware’s Explore 2022 conference in Barcelona this week.
As a result of the agreement, VMware Cloud can now be fully integrated into a single consumption and licensing model with HPE GreenLake. This includes VMware Cloud for HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise.
“This deal essentially allows us to integrate the entire VMware Cloud Foundation portfolio as part of GreenLake infrastructure. “
The deal includes major versions of HPE GreenLake for private cloud enterprises available on October 31st. This new version of HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise sets a new standard for on-premises private cloud provisioning and deployment for enterprise customers. This includes increased automation and scalability backed by an enterprise-grade service level agreement.
