Lexus has unveiled four customized concept cars to showcase the lifestyle possibilities offered in the endless world of aftermarket car customization.
The Lexus RZ, the brand’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV), is expected to go on sale locally in mid-2023. RZ sport conceptAustralia will be offered in particular the RZ 450e. It utilizes a twin motor all-wheel drive configuration with a total of 230kW.

Not to be missed are the extremely flared wheel arches, 21″ wheels, unique bumpers, bonnet and side rockers. Most eye-catching is the unconventional double spoiler placement at the rear, which makes the FK8 Civic Type R look relatively unassuming by comparison.
The RZ Sport Concept wears a special ‘Shirogane’ (meaning silver) paint with Lexus’ signature electric blue accents throughout.
Inside are fitted with four racing bucket seats and all modifications are overseen by Japanese racing driver Masahiro Sasaki.

With a custom aluminum roof rack and tent, the Lexus plug-in hybrid feels like you’re away from the big city. BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, protective aluminum skid plate, array of LED sport lights and black body accents.
Finished in a matching ‘Regolith’ sand color, the RX Outdoor Concept is complemented by Lexus’ hydrogen power. ROV concept 2 (recreational off-highway vehicle) Buggy. This small two-seater is powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine fueled by compressed hydrogen. Boasting selectable 2WD and 4WD capabilities, it’s equipped with Lexus signature lighting, a roof-mounted light bar, custom suspension and airless tires to aid exploration and recreation.

Lexus also unveiled land-ready examples of the GX 460 SUV currently on sale in the North American and Middle Eastern markets.of GX outdoor concept You get custom suspension and control arms, complemented by Toyo Open Country 275/65R18 mud tires.
A motorized warning winch helps get the GX out of the toughest situations, and a convenient rooftop tent makes camping setup a breeze.

Lexus says these concepts are unfortunately not available for purchase, but that’s not to say this isn’t a sign of what’s to come.
Automakers are investing more in their after-factory/aftermarket accessories. This is a very profitable business in itself. According to SEMA’s annual report, the North American automotive specialty equipment industry generates more than US$50 billion in annual sales.
