Manning told FOX Business’s Connell McShane on Friday that life after the NFL has been an “enjoyable journey” and allowed him to pursue interests he “didn’t have time to do” as a professional athlete.
“The plan was to pursue some things that I wasn’t able to do when I was playing. And I had other interests, so when I finished playing football, I said It’s like really finding out what you want to pursue and what you’re interested in. It was a fun trip to find, Manning said on “The Big Money Show.”
After retiring, Eli Manning launched a highly successful sports broadcast program, named “The Manningcast” by his brother Peyton Manning, a five-time NFL MVP. The show is another live broadcast of his Monday Night football, mostly featured on his ESPN.
McShane noted how “popular” the broadcast became, while Manning said much of the success came from his close relationship with his brother Peyton.

Eli Manning’s business ventures are much more than just ‘The Manningcast’. He explained that throughout his post-pro career, he has focused primarily on educating himself about the business.

After retiring, Manning joined private equity firm Brand Velocity Partners, became a partner at Verizon, and became the face of its “Welcome Unlimited” social campaign plan.
When asked about the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LVII, Manning said he’s looking forward to seeing four “great games” led by four great quarterbacks this weekend.

“I think it’s going to be a great game and we have four quarterbacks playing really great football,” he said.
