If you’re a fan of ChatGPT but tired of being “full” of AI chatbots, you’re in luck.
OpenAI, the company behind the hot new tool, launches ChatGPT Plus, a paid subscription service that provides general access to ChatGPT even during peak hours. The service also promises fast response times and priority access to new features and improvements.
ChatGPT Plus is being launched as a pilot program and is available for US customers for $20 per month. OpenAI will be inviting people off the waiting list over the next few weeks, and will become more widely available in additional countries soon thereafter.
The program is cheaper than some expected. An early access user shared a paid version of the video, revealing a subscription cost of $42/month.
OpenAI says it will continue to offer a free version of ChatGPT. Additionally, the company said in a blog post, “We are actively exploring low-cost plan, business plan, and data pack options for increased availability.”
For developers who want to integrate chatbot functionality into their products, OpenAI will soon launch the ChatGPT API (wait list can be found here).
