Eligibility
The program will help businesses that have suffered significant direct flood damage from the Victorian floods that began in October 2022.
To be eligible for the grant, companies must:
- Be within a municipality area deemed eligible for assistance under the Disaster Recovery Financing Agreement
- Hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and hold that ABN after 14 October 2022
- Registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 14 October 2022
- Flooding has caused significant direct damage to our premises, business property, inventory or equipment.
Examples of significant direct damage from flooding include:
- Property, business assets, inventory, equipment, cleaning or replacement (purchase or rental) required due to direct flood damage
- Structural damage to property, business assets, inventory, or equipment as a direct result of flooding requires qualified personnel (e.g., contractors) to inspect (safety, etc.) or repair affected items. ) is now required.
- When the safety of the business site cannot be ensured due to direct flood damage and temporary construction is necessary to resume business

A company will be ineligible for a grant if any information in the application is found to be willfully false, misleading or fraudulent.

Subsidy amount
Eligible businesses will receive a one-time payment of $5000.
Grants can be used to cover costs arising from flood damage to business premises, business assets, inventory or equipment.
Companies receiving support under the following programs are not eligible to receive funding under this program.
Items required for application
To apply, you will need:
- show your ID
- Within a local government area where your business has demonstrated significant direct flood damage due to the Victoria floods that began in October 2022 and is considered eligible for assistance under disaster recovery financing agreements Please prove that it is in
