Just days after Twitter laid off thousands of employees, many top executives on the team working on the platform’s privacy and security have reportedly stepped down.
Twitter’s chief information security officer announced his resignation on Thursday, stepping down from one of the company’s most important roles amid growing scrutiny over Twitter’s future and the erroneous decisions of new owner Elon Musk.
Former CISO Lea Kissner said in a tweet that she is looking forward to figuring out the next steps.

Kisner did not immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did they publicly state their reasons for leaving Twitter.

The message outlines Twitter’s plans to delegate responsibility for FTC compliance to individual employees who remain with the company.
