This program helps understand the barriers to hiring and retaining women in the cybersecurity field
Chicago, February 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), a non-profit dedicated to recruiting, retaining and promoting women in cybersecurity, today announced it is inviting participants for its inclusion measurement workshop . Barriers in the cybersecurity industry that prevent women from hiring, hiring, retaining and promoting at the same rate as men.
WiCyS, in partnership with DEI firm Aleria, has launched this pioneering study to understand why women’s representation in cybersecurity is not where it should be and how that can be changed. I’m here. WiCyS is inviting employees (men, women, allies) to sign up for one of her one-hour workshops on-going. February 7 9. WiCyS and Aleria will build on the findings from the workshop to develop a benchmark study, State of Women’s Inclusion in Cybersecurity.

At each workshop, participants will have the opportunity to share their workplace experiences using Aleria’s online platform built with a focus on privacy, confidentiality and anonymity. The ability to build a sense of security and trust is key to Aleria’s approach to measuring inclusiveness. Workshop participants who choose to participate in the activity cannot be tracked or identified by Alelia or anyone else. Also, the experience will not be shared with anyone unless the participant specifically allows Alelia.
